Defensive Driver Courses are available online or in a classroom. Our partners at Nations Traffic Safety School offer all of the Florida Traffic School courses in their classrooms. You can also attend these courses online and may enroll directly from our web site.
Classroom courses are offer on weekdays and on weekends. Provided in a seminar style format, Defensive Driver School (DDS) courses offer interaction between students and the instructor.
Online traffic school courses are available 24/7. You only need to have an internet connection. While you can enroll into an online course with a cell phone, it is not advisable to take the course on a phone. Tablets, iPads, laptops or a desktop PC will provide you a much better platform.
Our Driver Education Traffic Safety Course is Certified by the Florida DMV. This class is to obtain your Learners Permit if you are under the age of 18.
All new drivers need to pass the Florida DMV Permit/Class E Knowledge Test. We provide the online 6-Hour DETS Course combined with the "written" Knowledge Exam as an option.

Florida teen drivers are involved in over 84k crashes annually. If a new driver is involved in a crash, one of 6 mistakes will most likely be the cause. The objective of this 3-hour online seminar course is to share what these mistakes are and how to prevent them.
Florida offers seven Defensive Driving Courses. All In-Person Classroom DDS courses are available through our partners at Nations Traffic Safety School.
The most frequent course taken is the 4-Hour Basic Class as an "Election" to withhold points after receiving a traffic citation. The next is the Mature / Senior Defensive Driver class for Florida Seniors (55 or older) to receive a discount on their auto insurance. The other courses are typically needed as a result of a Court Order from a judge.
